These Were the Biggest Box Office Hits of 2019

Now that 2019 is almost over, it’s time to see which films were most popular at the box office.

According to Variety, box office sales are down nearly 4.6% or $11.88 billion, which is the biggest drop in half a decade. This in part is due to the many reboots and franchises that fans lost interest in over the years. Regardless of these stats, there were some gems among films this past year. These were the films that were box office successes.

  2. The Lion King – Production Budget – $260 million, Global Box Office – $1.6 billion
  3. Joker – Production Budget – $55 million, Global Box Office – $1.06 billion
  4. Us – Production Budget $20 million, Global Box Office – $255 million
  5. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood – Production Budget – $90 million, Global Box Office – $372 million
  6. John Wick 3 – Production Budget – $75 million, Global Box Office – $326 million
  7. Rocketman – Production Budget – $40 million, Global Box Office – $195 million
  8. Hustlers – Production Budget – $20 million, Global Box Office – $156 million
