This is Marvel’s “Phase 4” of Films

“Phase 4” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was revealed by studio head Kevin Feige during the studio’s presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, and it is big. 

Even though the original Avengers are gone, new things are coming to the MCU.

While it’s hard to let go of beloved characters such as Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, its time for the MCU to expand and grow, which means fans are getting five movies as well as five Disney Plus series in the period that spans May 2020 through November 2021. 

The suite of new superhero movies includes Black Widow out May 1, 2020, The Eternals, out in fall of 2020, Thor 4: Love and Thunder, out November 5, 2021, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, out February 12, 2021,and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, out May 7, 2021. 

The new features will see the MCU’s first Asian superhero movie, the introduction of the MCU’s first deaf superhero and the reveal of the first openly queer superhero in the MCU.
