The final moments of Season 3 have been kept so secret that even the stars themselves got redacted scripts. But then during Sunday’s grand finale of PaleyFest, series creator Dan Fogelman started teasing fans with major finale moments.

Fogelman said that fans will “get a lot of answers,” in the finale, including Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth’s (Susan Kelechi Watson) struggling marriage, Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) relationship with Zoe (Melanie Liburd) and Kate’s (Chrissy Metz) premature baby.

“I’m excited about the last episode, It’s a good one. I think you’re going to get a lot of answers for all the main characters.” Fogelman said.

“Obviously there’s a tremendous amount of attention on Randall and Beth’s storyline. There will be an answer there in terms of the long-term health of their relationship,” he added. “We have all of our storylines building to that in the last episode. It’s kind of gigantic. The last five minutes of the episode are sprawling.”

He continued: “Our world’s going to expand a little bit in a really interesting way. I think where we’re starting the season is as ambitious as we’ve been, kind of like storytelling way. We have a plan; we’re at the midpoint. We know where we’re going, we know what we’re doing. I’m more excited about the back half of the plan than the front half.”

This Is Us airs Tuesdays on NBC.
