Watching TV is a universal pastime as Netflix has proven.
As 2019 plays out its final hours, the streaming service has revealed which of its features were the most popular around the world. Five countries feature on the list which is believed to have been calculated by individual accounts having watched at least two minutes of a title during its first 28 days on Netflix this year.
Ryan Reynold’s new film, 6 Underground, performed extremely well, cracking the most popular lists in the UK, Australia, India, France, and Germany. Also included on all the lists was The Witcher, which premiered just over a week ago and stars Henry Cavill, Stranger Things 3, and The Irishman.
Although its reviews were fairly poor, many people appeared to tune in to Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler’s film, Murder Mystery, which topped the list of titles. The return of Money Heist saw season 3 as a popular release in France and Germany, while Brits were fascinated by the true story of Madeleine McCann, the young English girl who went missing while on holiday with her family in Spain.
