The fourth film in Marvel’s Thor franchise is set to be “bigger, bolder and brighter” than ever before.

Chris Hemsworth’s Thor has been on quite a journey since he was first introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After proving he was worthy of his hammer in the first movie, he has since fought the overwhelmingly powerful Hella, gone head to head with Hulk in single combat, and sunk into depression after the Thanos snap in Avengers: Infinity War.

When we last saw him, the Norse god was at a crossroads. Unsure of what to do with himself, he decided to jet off with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, the Thor creators have promised more adventure for the Thor: Ragnarok followup.

“The next Thor film I’m doing, basically, we’re sort of launching ourselves again on this adventure film, really,” director Taika Waititi told Entertainment Weekly. “That was the thing really that I loved about doing Ragnarok, it felt like we were just putting Thor on a really cool adventure.”

He continued: “There’s always like new things to see and do, and this one, I think we’re gonna double down a lot on that and have it bigger, bolder and brighter. There’s gonna be some really crazy stuff in the film.”

Basically, if you didn’t like Thor: Dark World, it sounds like the franchise is heading in a more colorful and exciting direction.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in movie theaters on November 5, 2021.
