Tiffany Haddish knows her worth.
The actress left audiences in hysterics in Girls Trip, as well as her most recent gig — presenting at the Oscars.
In what was regarded as a mostly dull Academy Awards ceremony (and the lowest watched since ratings became a thing) Tiffany Haddish presenting with Bridesmaids actress, Maya Rudolph, was considered by some as the highlight of the evening.
The pair came out holding their heels in hand (because, honestly, who can afford to wear those things all night?) and assured anyone in the crowd who was concerned that the Oscars didn’t have enough white people anymore, that there were plenty running around backstage with clipboards.
So loved were they, that Twitter started a campaign for them to host the entire show next year.
And Tiffany ain’t saying no. One condition.
The 38-year-old has revealed that she thought she and Maya were being paid to present, and when she found out the gig was pro bono, she did what any sensible person would do.
“When I found out that we weren’t getting paid, I was like, ‘Well, I heard about gift bags.’ And then it was like ‘We don’t have no gift bags,’ and I was like, ‘Well what do I get?’ They were like, ‘We’ve got a bottle of wine that’s like $13.’ So I got the wine.”
So would she consider taking on full-time hosting duties in 2019?
“I would love to do something like that. As long as I get a paycheck.”
And hopefully, they’ll throw in some free wine this time!
