After her appearance in 2017’s comedy Girls Trip, Tiffany Haddish is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. However, the 38-year-old is picky about the roles she takes. During her appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Haddish revealed to the host Seth Meyers that she had an opportunity to audition for a role in Jordan Peele’s hit Get Out and turned it down.

“Well, he asked me to audition for it,” said Haddish. “But he let me read it and asked me to audition, [and] I was like ‘Aw man. Look, I don’t do scary movies, dog. I don’t do that. You know, that’s demonized kind of stuff. I don’t let that in my house.'”

Although Peele tried to convince her that Get Out doesn’t feature demons or any similar supernatural beings, Haddish couldn’t be convinced.

“That’s a white man trying to take people’s souls out their body and opening up brains. That sounds like some demon stuff to me.” she told Peele and ended the discussion.

Tiffany Haddish and Jordan Peele previously worked together on the 2016’s Keanu and will have the opportunity to work again. Peele is the creator and executive producer of the comedy series The Last O.G, which stars Haddish in one of the main roles.

Besides The Last O.G, we will have the opportunity to see Tiffany Haddish in movies like Uncle Drew, Night School, and The List. She will also lend her voice to Tuca in Netflix’s adult animated comedy Tuca & Bertie.
