Yo, The Academy! We have a candidate for Oscars host!
This year’s Academy Awards is set to be quite different as the ceremony will not have a host for the first time in 30 years.
Chosen MC, Kevin Hart, dropped out late last year after homophobic remarks he made a decade ago resurfaced, resulting in criticism over his selection.
Due to the lateness of the hour, The Academy decided that the 91st Oscars would instead have various stars presenting the categories as opposed to one main host, but one of Hollywood’s brightest comediennes has put her hand up for the gig – Tiffany Haddish.
The Girl’s Trip actress confirmed that she would like to host the ceremony in future, but on one condition — she doesn’t wanna do it alone.
“I would love to do it one day with Maya [Rudolph] or even with Will Arnett,” she told Variety. “I would love to do it with someone. I don’t need all that responsibility on my shoulders — it’s already hard enough being the queen.”
