TikTok has announced a $200 million fund for users who consistently produce original content.

The fund is called the TikTok Creator Fund and had been created to support creators of innovative content who are interested in “fostering their livelihood”.

To apply, users must be at least 18 years of age and post consistent original content. There will also be a minimum follower count required to apply for the fund although this is yet to be revealed.

“Through the TikTok Creator Fund, our creators will be able to realise additional earnings that help reward the care and dedication they put into creatively connecting with an audience that’s inspired by their ideas,” General Manager Vanessa Pappas said in a blog post.

“In a relatively short time, TikTok has grown to become a source of income and opportunity for creators and their families – and we couldn’t be more encouraged by their success. As our community continues to flourish, we’re committed to fostering even more ways for our creators to earn livelihoods by inspiring joy and creativity.”

You can find out more about the fund on the official TikTok website.
