Tilda Swinton, George MacKay, and Stephen Graham Starring in “The End” Musical

Tilda Swinton, George MacKay, and Stephen Graham will be starring in a musical about the last human family, titled The End.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Joshua Oppenheimer will be directing the movie for Neon, the studio behind Parasite.

Swinton won an Oscar for her role as a morally compromised attorney in Michael Clayton. Her most recent and upcoming films include Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir: Part II, Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch, George Miller’s Three Thousand Years of Longing, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Memoria.

MacKay is known for starring in 1917 and will next be in Robert Harris’ Munich: The Edge of War and Nathalie Biancheri’s Wolf.

Graham starred in Boardwalk Empire as Al Capone, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, and the Elton John biopic Rocketman.

Signe Byrge Sørensen and Joshua Oppenheimer are producing.

Neon’s current slate includes Julia Ducournau’s Titane and Pablo Larrain’s Spencer, starring Kristen Stewart as Diana.

Production is slated to start in 2022.
