Tom Holland became a household name after being cast as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in the MCU, but will we get to see him play this iconic superhero again? The British actor recently shared an exciting update about the fourth film in this franchise and said he discussed it with Marvel.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Holland don the Spider-Man suit, and it turns out he’s just waiting for the right story to emerge. He discussed the future of this superhero franchise during a press conference with the Critics’ Choice Association and said he’s “actively engaging in conversations” about his potential fourth Spider-Man movie.

Holland said he’s open to reprising this role because he owes everything to Spider-Man, but he also feels very protective over this character and only wants to return when it feels right.

“I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy. So, I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one,” he explained.

Holland made his last appearance as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home before shifting focus to other projects, including the action-adventure blockbuster Uncharted and the Apple TV+ mini-series The Crowded Room.
