“Tom & Jerry” Movie on the Way for 2021 Release

A double announcement from Warner Bros. confirms that both a Sesame Street and Tom & Jerry features will hit theaters in 2021. 

The still untitled famous cat & mouse duo movie for Warner Bros Animation Group will be directed by Tim Story (Ride Along, Shaft). The feature is set to be a live-action and animated hybrid and is expected to hit theaters in on April 16, 2021.

The famous cat & mouse duo first came into our worlds in the ‘40s from animation couple William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The animation duo then igave us more beloved characters including The Flintstones, Scooby Doo, The Smurfs, The Jetsons, and The Super Friends.

According to sources, Sesame Street will begin shooting in June and and is slated to hit theaters in January 15, 2021. Jonathan Krisel has been set as director. The revival will bring everyone’s favorite characters including Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and Elmo is said to be a musical. According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Anne Hathaway is on board to star.
