Tony Dalton has been promoted to series regular for Season 5 of Better Call Saul.

Multiple outlets confirm that the AMC series has tapped Dalton for a series regular role in the forthcoming season, which is set to make its return next year.

Dalton made his debut as villainous drug cartel member Lalo Salamanca, and nephew of Saul in the last three episodes of Season 4 of the Breaking Bad spinoff. According to Deadline, Lalo was first referenced in the season two episode of Breaking Bad when Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) was first introduced.

Better Call Saul, like its predecessor, received critical acclaim. It is executive produced by Peter Gould, Vince Gilligan, Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Thomas Schnauz and Gennifer Hutchison.

Dalton is best known for his lead role on the HBO Latino series Sr. Avila.
