Tove Lo’s been slowly teasing her fifth studio album in the past few months, and she finally made things official. Her next LP Dirt Femme is coming our way this fall, and she teased its release with a brand new single “True Romance”.

Tove Lo is using Dirt Femme to explore her relationship with her femininity and says it’s a collection of all her feelings, thoughts, and questions put together in under 50 minutes.

“When I started out as a writer and an artist, I used to view my feminine traits as weaker and would enhance my masculine traits to get ahead in life. I feel a big energy shift in my environment since then and this album reflects the various ways my feminine side has both helped and hurt me,” explained Lo in an official statement.

Unlike her four previous albums, Dirt Femme won’t be released via Island Records because she started her own label Pretty Swede Records earlier this year. It will hit the shelves on October 14 and feature a total of 12 songs.

In addition to “True Romance”, which draws inspiration from the classic movie of the same name, we’ve already got to hear singles “How Long” and “No One Dies From Love”. Dirt Femme will also feature collaborations with Channel Tres, First Aid Kit, and SG Lewis.
