It’s been five years since the last film in the Transformers franchise saw the light of day, but another installment is on the way! The first trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is here, and it sees Autobots and Maximals joining forces to protect the world from destruction.
The first trailer for Rise of the Beasts was released ahead of Paramount Pictures’ CinemaCon presentation, and it marks the major shift for the popular action franchise. Michael Bay, who directed the first five Transformers films, stepped down as a director and passed the mental to Steven Caple Jr.
Rise of the Beasts will also introduce us to brand new human characters, played by rising stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback. The voice cast features both the veterans and newcomers to the franchise, and it includes Peter Cullen, Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Liza Koshy, Pete Davidson, and Colman Domingo.
According to its official synopsis, “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on the ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new faction of Transformers – the Maximals – to join them as allies in the existing battle for Earth.”
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is one of the most anticipated summer blockbusters and it’s scheduled to be released on June 9.
