Travis Scott has revealed some details about his forthcoming album Utopia, which is set to be released sometime this year.

The rapper spoke about the album in his cover story with CR Men and he said it focuses on the components of a utopian state which he believes are, “medicine, nursing, being a better person, talking, language, communication.”

“You think utopia is a society where everything is good: health, buildings, architecture—nah. It’s just about proper lines of communication,” he said.

Scott’s Cactus Films has inked a production deal with A24 leading up to the arrival of the new album. The two companies are expected to work on a project related to Utopia.

Utopia follows Scott’s 2018 Astroworld which featured collaborations with Drake, Frank Ocean, and The Weeknd.

In July, Scott premiered a new track reportedly titled “Escape Plan”, during his performance at Rolling Loud Miami. The sing hasn’t been officially released yet.

The rapper took home the MTV VMA for Best Hip-Hop for his track with Young Thug and M.I.A. “Franchise”.

Last month he was featured on Kanye West’s “Praise God” with Baby Keem from DONDA. He also teamed up with Keem earlier this year for “Durag Activity” which was on The Melodic Blue.
