The Grammy Awards have found their host for next year’s ceremony.

Having just left his gig as host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah will be making his return to television to host the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. The event is scheduled to be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, 2023.

This is hardly the first time that the South African comedian has been in charge of the music awards. Noah hosted both the 2021 and 2022 versions, making it old hat by this point. Yet, it will mark his return to the small screen, having wrapped up seven years as host of the nightly talk show earlier this month.

The Grammy hosting role will also reunite Noah with staffers from The Daily Show who do work at the Grammys.

“Some of us work on the Grammys together, some of us work on other shows that I’m producing. It’s almost like that moment in soccer,” the 38-year-old Noah told The Hollywood Reporter.

“As a soccer player, you’ll play for your club and then you’ll play for the national team and there was always a moment where a player would retire from the national team. They’d say, ‘I’m no longer going to play at the international level, but I’ll still play for my club.’ And it’s always sad because they won’t be on the national team, but they’re still playing and they’re still playing with many of the players they know.”
