Comedy group The Try Guys, which became famous for their YouTube viral videos, decided to leave their parent company BuzzFeed and try to make it on their own. The Try Guys – Ned Fulmer, Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld and Eugene Lee Yang – formed production company 2nd Try LLC and brand new YouTube channel where they will post their new videos. Still, the group will continue to collaborate with BuzzFeed in matters of advertising and branded content sales.

“We’re thrilled to take this next step in our careers, with a new company serving to expand The Try Guys brand and act as a hub for our individual pursuits,”- said the group in a joint statement. “BuzzFeed has been a great home these past four years, and we look forward to a continued strategic partnership as we enter this new chapter.”

BuzzFeed also released a statement in which they said goodbye to The Try Guys.

“We are incredibly grateful and proud to have worked with Ned, Keith, Zach, and Eugene to grow ‘The Try Guys’ into the massive phenomenon they’ve become, and excited that BuzzFeed can continue to be the ‘fifth Try Guy’ with this unique partnership, as they embark on this new phase of their career.” – said BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti.

Ned Fulmer, Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld and Eugene Lee Yang created their first The Try Guys video for BuzzFeed in 2014, and since then their videos have gained more than one billion views. They also produced a show titled Squad Wars for YouTube’s subscription service Red.
