Vanessa Hudgens proved she’s still got leading lady potential with her role in Netflix’s rom-com The Princess Switch, and she’s getting ready to star in another promising project. The former Disney star just joined upcoming sequel of ‘90s action flick Bad Boys.
Hudgens had a pretty amazing year, even before the news of her casting was announced. In addition to leading the way in another hit rom-com, she starred alongside Jennifer Lopez in Second Act and landed the lead role in the upcoming made-for-TV musical Rent: Live.
We still don’t know anything about the character Hudgens is going to play in Bad Boys sequel, but her involvement is not the only reason to be excited about this movie. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will be back for the ride as the duo of hip detectives we first met back in 1995.
The highly-anticipated sequel will hit the theaters on 17 January, 2020, under the name Bad Boys for Life.
