It took 12 years for Veronica Mars to return to her hometown, but the girl is back.

The latest trailer for the Veronica Mars revival shows some explosive activity going on in ol’ Neptune, with our trusty private detective having to save some spring breakers that find themselves getting murdered…

“I spent my first 19 years trying to escape my hometown. Made it out, then after a decade away, decided it needed me and I needed it,” Kristen Bell’s character says in the trailer.

In between all that, the sleuth also seems to be rekindling her relationship with her ex Logan. Or at least trying to.

“What’s the destructive gene in your relationship?” Nicole, played by Kirby Howell-Baptiste, asks Veronica.

“I think it might be me,” she replies.

Much of the cast has decided to reprise their roles from the original series, including Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Ryan Hansen, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra, David Starzyk, Max Greenfield, and Adam Rose.

Seems like this spring is gonna be an explosive one…

The Veronica Mars miniseries premieres on July 26th.
