“Vice” Wins Big at Capri Hollywood Film Festival

Christian Bale in "Vice"

Capri Hollywood Film Festival has been described as “a key stopping point on the road to the Academy Awards” and it lived up to its reputation this year. The list of winners features several front-runners in this year’s Oscar race, including Dick Cheney’s biopic Vice.

Despite the fact it wasn’t met with universal acclaim, the jury of the Capri Hollywood Film Festival couldn’t resist its charm and awarded it with best picture award. Vice scored a victory in additional three categories: editing, makeup and hairstyling, and best supporting actress – Amy Adams.

Capri jury made a couple unorthodox choices in the acting categories and awarded Marcello Fonte (Dogman) and Glenn Close (The Wife) who aren’t exactly the favorites this award season. The rest of their picks were pretty predictable, since Oscar hopefuls Roma and A Star Is Born received three shiny trophies.
