Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps are teaming up with Netflix (again)!

The actor-comedian duo has been cast as the leads in a recently greenlit new comedy series titled The Upshaws.

The streaming giant announced the series and the casting Tuesday.

The multi-camera family comedy series centers on a working-class black family in Indiana struggling with how to make things work without a blueprint on how to do it.

Sykes and Epps are also executive-producing the series alongside Insecure scribe Regina Y. Hicks. Hicks and Sykes will serve as co-showrunners.

Sykes and Epps are not new to the streaming service, both having helmed Netflix comedy specials. Not Normal, Sykes’ first stand-up special is nominated for two Emmys, while Epps recorded a pair of comedy specials — Don’t Take It Personal (2015) and Only One Mike (2019).

A release date for The Upshaws hasn’t been announced. The episode count and additional cast are still unknown.
