Ariana Grande has just shared a brand new music video of new single “7 Rings.”

The track is an ultra-modern parody of “Favorite Things” from Sound of Music. Instead of “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens” Grande wants “breakfast at Tiffany’s and bottles of bubbles” along with “Girls with tattoos who like getting in trouble.” And instead of Julie Andrews tucked up in bed with the cutest kids we’ve ever seen, Ariana dances around a lavish party with her gal pals.

In the pre-chorus she brags: “I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it” followed by an annoyingly catchy chorus of “I want it, I got it, I want it, I got it.”

But still, Grande isn’t just showing off about all the things she can buy now she’s a global phenomenon, she’s singing about how she loves to spoil her gal pals now she’s single.

The song was inspired by a trip she took to New York with her friends Vic, Courtney, Alexa, Tayla, Njomza and Kaydence. She got each of them a ring and thought she’d write a song about the whole experience.

She explained: “Well …………. ‘twas a pretty rough day in nyc. my friends took me to tiffany’s. we had too much champagne. i bought us all rings. — it was very insane and funny. & on the way back to the stu njomza was like ‘bitch, this gotta be a song lol’. so we wrote it that afternoon.”
