The first official trailer for the epic six part BBC-Masterpiece adaptation of Les Miserables, is finally here.
The adaptation of the beloved 1862 Victor Hugo novel stars Lily Collins as Fantine, Dominic West as hero Jean Valjean, David Oyelowo as Inspector Javert, and Olivia Colman as Madame Thenardier. The cast also includes Ellie Bamber as Cosette, Josh O’Connor as Marius and Erin Kellyman as Eponine.
This latest version is co-produced by Lookout Point and BBC Studios. The production tapped Andrew Davies to pen the script. Davies is best known for penning the 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth.
The trailer features of all of the characters of the beloved tale. While the most famous adaptation of Les Miserables is the 1985 musical, this version will be a non-musical rendition of the novel.
