Showtime has released the first trailer for Moonbase 8 which stars Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker, and John C. Reilly.
The comedy series follows Skip (Armisen), Rook (Heidecker), and Cap (Reilly) who are aspiring astronauts preparing for their first trip to space. While getting ready for their first lunar mission, they have as much fun as possible by trying to simulate a rocket launch and drinking recycled urine that’s been turned into water.
The Moonbase 8 members’ reasons for joining the mission range from trying to keep a family legacy alive to wanting to preach Jesus Christ to the galaxy. Their main goal is to prove to NASA that they’re suitable for the trip, “Let’s show NASA that we know what we’re doing,” Armisen’s Skip says.
Reilly’s Cap then tells his teammates, “That’s why I love you guys. We’re dedicated to a mission that’s beyond our ability but we’re going to try anyway. We are going to the moon.”
The series will debut on Showtime on November 8.
