The highly anticipated first full trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s screen adaptation of the classic kids’ horror book series is finally here.
The official trailer teases familiar monstrous creatures including Harold the murderous scarecrow, the Pale Lady and the Jangly Man.
Based on the book series by Alvin Schwartz, the film centers on a literal book of scary stories that fall into the hands of a few teens. The teenד quickly realize that its stories are coming to life — and the malevolent creatures for them.
Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Austin Zajur and Natalie Ganzhorn star in the André Øvredal-helmed film.
Øvredal directed from a screenplay penned by Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman based on a story by del Toro and Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.
