The first full-length trailer for the upcoming ninth installment in the acclaimed horror franchise is here.
We already knew that American Horror Story: 1984 is set at the fictional Camp Redwood, but now we learn who’s terrorizing the camp — Mr. Jingles who is an escaped patient from a nearby psychiatric hospital. Oh, yeah and his preferred killing MO is slashing throats.
The forthcoming season stars Emma Roberts, Matthew Morrison, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, Leslie Grossman, Gus Kenworthy, Angelica Ross, DeRon Horton, Zach Villa, and John Carroll Lynch. Sitting out the season is franchise leads Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.
Paulson has appeared in every episode of AHS since the beginning, so hopes are she’ll make a small role appearance anyway. Peters, however, ruled out any such possibility telling GQ, “I’m going to sit a season out. It’s just exhausting. It’s really mentally draining, and you don’t want to go to those places ever in your life.”
