Watch: The First “Birds of Prey” Trailer

Margot Robbie in "Birds of Prey"

The first official trailer for Birds of Prey trailer is finally here.

It has been a long wait since Margot Robbie first teased the feature back in January via her Instagram account, but now all is well as DC comics dropped full-length trailer Tuesday.

Robbie first debuted as Harley Quinn in 2016’s Suicide Squad. This time around she’s in the lead of a female-led comic film adaptation, which sees her alter-ego, Harley Quinn, transform from Joker’s sidekick to leader of the group of antiheroes.

“The Joker and I broke up,” she explains, “I wanted a fresh start. But it turns out I wasn’t the only dame in Gotham looking for emancipation.”

The trailer shows Quinn recruit a group of women in charge of protecting Cassandra Cain, played by Ella Jay Basco, from Black Mask, played by Ewan McGregor.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) hits theaters February 7, 2020.
