HBO’s Emmy-winning series Veep is ending its run this spring, after seven amazing years. First trailer for its final season is here, and it’s filled with dozens of hilarious lines and funny moments that perfectly capture the spirit of this political satire.
The trailer shows former vice president Selina Meyer on the campaign trail, once again trying to secure her spot in the White House. She has a surprising opponent in her former staffer Jonah Ryan, who used to bump heads with everyone in her office while he worked for her.
The final season of Veep will premiere on March 31, and lead actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus promised it will be filled with surprises. The Emmy-winning actress admitted she was overcome with joy and grief after filming the final chapter of Selina’s story and she believes the fans will be, as well.
“I’m not going to say that Selina evolves except to say that she’s as true to herself as she can possibly be by the time this season ends… And what I would also add is, where our show ends up is a place I’m very happy about. And I think it will surprise viewers, too,“ said Louis-Dreyfus.
