The first trailer for the highly-anticipated limited series from Homeland’s Gideon Raff is finally here and it shows Cohen in a whole different (and serious) light.
Cohen has put aside comedy for Netflix’s spy thriller The Spy. Set in the 1960s the series tells the true story of Eli Cohen, Israeli clerk turned secret agent who goes undercover deep inside Syria.
Cohen’s character is described by the streaming service as “a man who wants nothing more than to be of service to his country, but he does his job so well that he finds it hard to strip off his double identity.”
Also starring are Noah Emmerich as Eli’s handler, Hadar Ratzon Rotem as Eli’s wife, Nadia, and Waleed Zuaiter.
