A new trailer for the electric historical drama is here.

Following its debut over two years ago at the Toronto Film Festival, The Current War is getting ready to hit theaters with a  new official trailer.

The Marin Scorcese-produced lets us glimpse into the dramatic battle over electricity starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Thomas Edison, Nicholas Hoult as Nikola Tesla, and Michael Shannon as George Westinghouse.

The trailer features the three duke it out in what would be known as “the war of the currents.”

“This is a battle of the greatest minds of America,” Edison says. Westinghouse adds, “If you want to be remembered, it’s simple: Shoot a president. But if you prefer to have what I call a legacy, you leave the world a better place than you found it.”

The film is directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon from a script by Michael Mitnick.

The Current War is set to premiere this fall.
