DC has just released a behind the scenes teaser for the upcoming Herley Quinn animated series which provides some glimpses into the acting of The Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco who will voice the titular anti-hero as well as Alan Tudyk’s version of the Joker and his maniacal laugh.
This is one of the first outings of the crazed villainess on her own and not only as a sidekick for The Joker in what executive producer Patrick Schumacker describes “A nexus of no-punches-pulled action with comedy that diverges between high-brow and low-brow.”
Alongside Cuoco and tudyk, Lake Bell will portray Quinn’s other love interest (apart from the Joker), Poison Ivy, Sanaa Lathan will play Catwoman, Rahul Kohli will be Scarecrow, Christopher Meloni will be Commissioner James Gordon, Jim Rash will be The Riddler, Tony Hale will be Dr. Psycho, Ron Fanches will be King Shark and Diedrich Bader will portray Batman.
Harley Quinn is also due to return to the big screen with Margot Robbie returning to portray her in Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) after her playing the role in Suicide Squad. The new movie, directed by Cathy Yan, is also supposed to see Quinn stepping out of The Joker’s shadow.
