We can always count on the Kids’ Choice Awards to give us a fun and carefree awards show, and they certainly delivered this year. The list of winners is in, and it includes Netflix’s TV series Wednesday, singer Harry Styles, and actor Dwayne Johnson.
Harry Styles took home three awards in the music categories, including favorite male artist, favorite global music star, and favorite song with “As It Was”. The list of winners in the music field also included Taylor Swift (favorite female artist and favorite album), BTS (favorite music group), and Dove Cameron (favorite breakout artist).
Wednesday dominated the TV field with two awards, including favorite family show and favorite female TV star on a family show for Jenna Ortega. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series also did pretty well, and its stars Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett both picked up awards for their respective performances.
As for the movie field, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 managed to beat pretty tough competition to be named the favorite movie, including the likes of Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick. It was also a big night for Dwayne Johnson, who picked up two awards – favorite movie actor for Black Adam and favorite voice from an animated movie (male) for DC League of Super-Pets.
The 36th Annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards took place on March 4 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with Nate Burleson and Charli D’Amelio hosting the festivities.
