Emma Myers got her big break with the role in Netflix’s hit series Wednesday, and her future is looking bright! The young actress landed a key role in the upcoming Minecraft movie, the highly-anticipated big-screen adaptation of the popular video game.

With 300 million copies sold and nearly 140 million active players a month, Minecraft is the highest-selling videogame of all time, and its movie adaptation was a long time coming. This project is finally taking shape following the end of the Hollywood strikes, and Myers is the latest star to join its growing ensemble.

The news of her casting comes just a few days after Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple) and Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Just Mercy) joined this project. Jason Momoa was the first actor to be cast, while the rest of the film’s ensemble is yet to be announced.

Myers got her big break with the role of Wednesday Addams’ quirky, late-blooming werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair in the hit Netflix series Wednesday, and she’s been booked and busy ever since. She recently starred in the Netflix film Family Switch alongside Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms, and we’ll soon see her lead BBC’s TV adaptation of Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.
