Wes Anderson hasn’t joined forces with Focus Features in ten years, but they’re finally ready for a reunion. After releasing the director’s 2012 project Moonrise Kingdom, the studio will bring his next project Asteroid City to the theatres, and the plot details have finally been revealed.

The newly released logline describes Asteroid City as s a “poetic meditation on the meaning of life”, set at a Junior Stargazer convention in a fictional American desert town circa 1955.

“The film brings together students and parents from across the country for scholarly competition, rest and recreation, comedy, drama, romance, and more,” reads the official logline.

Like all of Anderson’s movies, this one features a star-studded cast, including the likes of Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Margot Robbie, Jeff Goldblum, and many more.

Peter Kujawski, chairman of Focus Features, said that they’re beyond thrilled to be the global home for Asteroid City, and described Anderson as “a generational talent whose films delight audiences around the world.”

After collaborating with Focus Features on Moonrise Kingdom, Wes Anderson switched to Searchlight in recent years. The studio released his three most recent projects—The Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs, and last year’s The French Dispatch.
