Vincent Cassel has been tapped to star in HBO’s hit sci-fi series.
Multiple outlets confirm that the Ocean’s Twelve and Jason Bourne alum has joined the third season of Westworld.
While details of his role are kept under wraps, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Cassel is set to play a villain in the forthcoming season, which isn’t expected to air until at least 2020.
“We’re incredibly excited to work with Vincent Cassel,” creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy said. “We’ve been longtime fans of his and are thrilled for him to join the Westworld team.”
Cassel joins recently added Lena Waithe and Aaron Paul who have boarded the show as series regulars. The Westworld cast includes stars Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, and Thandie Newton.
