When Season Six of the TV Land dramedy, will we finally get to see everyone get what they always wanted?
The finale of Season Five, saw Charles (Peter Hermann) stepping down from his role as publisher at his company so he could be with Liza (Sutton Foster) publicly.
“There’s definitely tension,” says Foster. “Charles isn’t just at home in his PJs eating bonbons. He’s basically where Liza was in Season One, having nothing and trying to re-establish himself. He’s finding his way back in, but of course, that affects his relationship with Liza.”
“Charles gave up a significant piece of his identity when he left the company,” Hermann adds. “You’ll find out how willing or unwilling he is to let that piece of his identity go. Human beings and relationships are complicated… What he ends up pursuing and who he ends up pursuing it with will play out over the season.”
As for the show’s other couple, Diana (Miriam Shor) and Enzo (Chris Tardio), they too have to navigate life together and Shor ensures fans some action on that front. “Enzo is so sweet and lovable, but he’s not dumb; he gets Diana. I just love that someone accepts her on her own terms and calls her out, for sure.”
