The list of inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in, and we finally know who made the cut. The list of artists bestowed with this prestigious honor includes Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, The Notorious BIG, T. Rex, and The Doobie Brothers.

Depeche Mode and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails released official statements saying how excited they are about the induction, while Michael McDonald of The Doobie Brothers took a moment to praise his fellow inductees and incredible work they bring to the table.

“Each of those bands has helped shape the form that rock & roll has taken over the years. That’s what I like to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame do: pick those bands that have sculpted what we see rock & roll as today,” he told Rolling Stone.

The list of artists who were all on the ballot, but didn’t make the cut this year also included Dave Matthews Band, Judas Priest, and Motörhead. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at Cleveland’s Public Hall on May 2nd, and it will be the first one ever to be broadcasted live on HBO.
