“Will & Grace” is Ending its Second Run

As it turns out, there is a limit to how much you can have of a good thing.

And that good thing is Will & Grace.

The NBC comedy, which originally ran between 1998 and 2006, was rebooted in 2017, reuniting us with Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullaly, and Sean Hayes.

Despite the times a-changing, the jokes on the show remained as sharp and relevant as ever, taking shots at politics, society, and dating apps.

The show returned for a 10 episode run which was then renewed, thanks to its popularity.

Now, the producers have decided to bow out after the third — or eleventh — season, depending on how you choose to count.

“We think of the Will & Grace reboot episodes the way Karen Walker thinks of martinis – 51 is not enough, 53 is too many. That is why, after consulting with the cast, we all have decided this will be the final season of Will & Grace,” said creators Max Mutchnick, David Kohan, and director and executive producer James Burrows in a statement.

The final season of Will & Grace is scheduled to have 18 episodes and will debut in the first half of 2020.
