Inspirational speaker John O’Leary went through many ups and downs over the years, and his fascinating life story is now getting a Hollywood treatment. William H. Macy and John Corbett will lead the cast of the promising drama On Fire, inspired by O’Leary’s life.
This project is based on O’Leary’s bestselling book On Fire: The 7 Choices to Ignite a Radically Inspired Life. At the age of nine, O’Leary was given virtually no chance of survival after experiencing severe burns following a harrowing accident, but he managed to make it through. This film will chronicle his incredible journey and his fight to live and show the world what’s possible.
Sean McNamara, who’ll be in charge of directing this project, described John O’Leary as “the kind of person that makes us remember how lucky we are to be alive, and that all that happens to us can be a blessing” and added he can’t wait for the world to discover his story.
In addition to Macy and Corbett, this project will also star Joel Courtney (The Kissing Booth), DeVon Franklin (Jesus Revolution), and Stephanie Szostak (A Million Little Things). The production will kick off in St. Louis, Missouri next month under the SAG-AFTRA interim agreement.
