Woody Harrelson will return as Carnage in the Venom sequel.

Last year, Tom Hardy made his debut as the popular anti-hero, Venom. Venom was originally a character in the Spider-Man comics and made his on-screen debut in Spider-Man 3 with Toby McGuire. Hardy’s Venom was darker, more vocal, and much more powerful.

In a mid-credits scene at the end of Venom, Woody Harrelson made an appearance as the serial killer, Carnage. Now, it has been confirmed that the character will be returning for the Venom sequel and Harrelson will be reprising the role.

Speaking will collider, cinematographer Robert Richardson confirmed the news. He said: “I think it’s unexplored yet, and it’s going to explode, and this film, I think, will help it explode because you have a remarkable central character with Venom.

“But now you’ve got Woody Harrelson, who’s going to obviously make his own little entrance here, and we’ll see what else comes in with the Sony Marvel collaboration.”

Venom 2 has no confirmed released date but it is predicted for October 2, 2020.
