The Big Bang Theory will meet Young Sheldon in a time-jumping crossover.

The CBS comedy, which is in its final season, will finally feature the crossover fans have been waiting for with three of the show’s stars making cameos as their characters. Back in August Warner Bros. announced that it will be ending the longest-running multi-camera series in TV history this spring.

“We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory during the past 12 seasons. We, along with the cast, writers, and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, during a December episode of The Big Bang TheoryYoung Sheldon’s Iain Armitage (Sheldon), Lance Barber (George) and Montana Jordan (Georgie) will appear as their spinoff characters.

It’s unclear how the crossover will be worked out considering Young Sheldon takes place almost thirty years prior to the setting of Big Bang. With CBS and producer Warner Bros. TV keeping details under wraps, fans will just have to wait and see.
