Bryan Cranston gave us another unforgettable performance in the Showtime series Your Honor, and he’s not saying goodbye to this character anytime soon. Despite the fact it was originally conceived as a limited series, this crime drama will return for another round.

Your Honor was developed by Peter Moffat and it draws inspiration from the Israeli series Kvodo. The series centers on a prominent New Orleans judge, whose life is turned upside down after his son kills another teenager in a hit-and-run accident and tries to cover up the crime.

Gary Levine, president of entertainment for Showtime Networks, said they were blown away by the power of Moffat’s storytelling and the depth of Cranston’s performance and excited to hear they would like to bring back the series for another round.

“Imagine our delight when we learned that Peter believed he had more story to tell and Bryan felt he had more depths to plumb. So, along with its millions of fans, I am gleefully shouting ‘Encore!’” said Levine in a statement.

The first season of Your Honor premiered on Showtime in late 2020, to mixed reviews. In addition to Cranston, the series also stars Hunter Doohan, Hope Davis, Carmen Ejogo, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Sofia Black-D’Elia.
