It’s been a while since we’ve gotten an amazing wrestling movie, but The Iron Claw will soon fill that gap. The first trailer for A24’s highly-anticipated wrestling biopic is here, and it sees Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White bring the tale of the Von Erich family to life.

The Iron Claw is inspired by the true story of brothers Kevin and Kerry Von Erich, two of the most prominent members of the Von Erich wrestling dynasty. They ruled the ring for decades and found enormous success after popularizing the iron claw professional wrestling hold, but their triumphs were overshadowed by many personal tragedies, which sparked rumors about the Von Erich curse.

Efron and White will portray Kevin and Kerry Von Erich, and they’ll be in pretty good company. The star-studded cast of this project also includes Harris Dickinson as David Von Erich, Stanley Simons as Mike Von Erich, Holt McCallany as Fritz Von Erich, Maura Tierney as Doris Von Erich, and Lily James as Kevin’s wife, Pam Adkisson.

The Iron Claw was written and directed for A24 by Martha Marcy May Marlene helmer Sean Durkin. The film will hit the theaters on December 24, and it’s still not connected to any fall film festivals.
