The more we learn about the new Batman movie, the more excited we are, and the latest casting decision couldn’t have been more perfect. Zoë Kravitz just joined this highly-anticipated superhero flick in the role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman.

Director Matt Reeves confirmed the amazing news on Twitter by sharing a gif of the actress that shows her on the phone saying “Hello.” She’ll play this iconic character alongside Robert Pattinson, who’s previously been cast as the Caped Crusader. The cast will also include Jonah Hill and Jeffrey Wright.

This actually won’t be the first time we’ll see Zoë Kravitz playing Catwoman. She previously voiced this character in The Lego Batman Movie. The list of actresses who portrayed Catwoman in the past also includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, and Anne Hathaway.

Kravitz is no stranger to the superhero genre – she also appeared in X-Men: First Class as Angel Salvadore and voiced Mary Jane in the Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. We’ll next get to see her in the TV adaptation of Nick Hornby’s hit novel High Fidelity.
