Variety exclusively reports that Zoe Saldana will topline Keyhole Garden.
The project, which hails from Marco Perego-Saldana traces “the sprawling romance of a man and woman whose love for each other struggles to overcome the divisiveness of life on America’s southern border.”
Exchange CEO Brian O’Shea announced the news in Cannes.
“Working with Zoe and Marco on this project is very exciting for me. Both of them are extremely talented and passionate to bring this beautiful love story to life. They have an incredible team behind them to deliver a commercial and successful movie,” said O’Shea.
Perego-Saldana will direct from an original screenplay he penned alongside Rick Rapoza.
Saldana most recently starred in The Avengers: Endgame. She is also set to reprise her role as Neytiri in the Avatar sequels.
Filming is set to begin this August.
