Blue Bloods is one of the longest-running dramas airing on CBS right now, and its end is nowhere in sight. The network renewed the hit police procedural drama for its 14th season, and Tom Selleck is set to return with the rest of the show’s core cast.

The future of Blue Bloods seemed uncertain in the face of recent budget cuts at CBS, but this series eventually managed to pull through. Its renewal came at a price, and producers are expected to take a 25% pay cut going forward to keep the series on the air.

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, confirmed the show’s renewal and described it as an important anchor for CBS’ winning lineup, adding it’s been dominating Friday nights since its premiere.

“Viewers continue to embrace the Reagan’s, their law enforcement family, and the series’ dramatic storytelling. We can’t wait to pull a chair up to the Reagan family dinner table for another fantastic season,” said Reisenbach in a statement.

Blue Bloods initially premiered in 2010, and it centers on members of the Reagan family, who have a long history of working in NYC law enforcement. In addition to Selleck, core cast members Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and Will Estes are also expected to return in Season 14.
