Wisecracking New York City cop John McClane is getting ready to save the day once again, but things will be a little bit different this time around. Title of the next Die Hard movie has been confirmed and it will carry the name McClane, after its protagonist.

After the sixth installment in this franchise was announced, fans believed it will be called Die Hard: Year One. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura put these rumors to rest and confirmed the new official title.

“You can tell our intention by the fact that the title page we handed in [for the script] says, McClane. We want you to get invested in John McClane more than ever before,” said Di Bonaventura.

The movie will focus on a younger version of the character, but that doesn’t mean Bruce Willis won’t be around. After A Good Day to Die Hard came out, he expressed a desire to return for one last ride, before retiring from playing his most iconic role. Upcoming Die Hard sequel should bounce back and forth between younger and older version of the character, and Willis is an essential part of it.

“I don’t know how you do Die Hard without Bruce. The idea that he’s not very significant in this movie is not accurate at all. We are going to explore John McClane in his 20s. But just as prominent is the 60-year-old version,” explained Di Bonaventura.
