Is a Girls Aloud Reunion On the Horizon?

Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh has hinted that the group could reunite for a 20th-anniversary tour.

The girl group formed in 2002 and quickly became an iconic part of our youth. They went on a break in 2009, reformed for their 10th year anniversary and have been more or less silent since. Their 20th anniversary is still two years away, but it seems that the girls have already started thinking about the possibility of a reunion.

“We do have an anniversary coming up,” Kimberley told UK’s The Sun. “It will have been 20 years in 2022 – it’s a long way off still. Everybody is busy at the moment, but I have a lot of love for all the girls. I’m proud of all of them.

“All the songs feel like a distant memory, but if I hear them then I think they’re good. I’m glad I still get to spend time with the girls and see them.”

Earlier this month, bandmate Nicola Roberts also spoke out about the possibility of a reunion.

“I would love to get back with the girls and us put on a show, and just put it on for the fans really. That was our favorite thing to do, was to do a show. So I think that we just have to cross that bridge when the anniversary comes and see where we all are.”

2022 still feels like a long way off, but we have our fingers crossed anyway.
