Well wishes are being sent Justin Bieber’s way.

The “Peaches” singer assumed a rather vulnerable position on Friday as he shared a recent health diagnosis with his fans.

The reveal follows Bieber’s decision to postpone the start of his North American Justice tour which was scheduled to commence in Toronto on June 7. At the time, the artist stated that his “sickness was getting worse” but did not elaborate further.

In the video posted on Instagram, the 28-year-old singer revealed that his face has been partially paralyzed and could be seen struggling to blink, smile, or move his right nostril.

“For those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously, not capable of doing them,” he confessed. “This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case, but obviously my body is telling me I’ve got to slow down, and I hope you guys understand.”

The paralysis is a symptom of Ramsay Hunt syndrome—a condition caused by the same virus that results in chickenpox, but that occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears.

The Grammy winner assured his fans that the paralysis will diminish, but that it will take an uncertain amount of time.
